Making the Case
Energy costs represent nearly one-third of a building's operating expenses and most facilities have energy-saving potential. Decreasing energy costs by increasing energy efficiency is not only good for the environment, it makes good business sense. Reducing energy costs increases net operating income and also increases a building's appraised value.
