PEAC is a certified AABC Commissioning Group Commissioning organization. We operate out of offices in Hampton Roads Virginia and Richmond Virginia but provide commissioning services across the continental USA. Our team of professional engineers and project managers provide leadership in the industries of Whole Building Commissioning and Retro-Commissioning. Our Commissioning services and solutions include Whole Building systems and facility enclosures. This covers new construction and renovation construction for both Design – Build as well as Design – Bid – Build contracts. Our Commissioning services includes all phases of the project including Pre-Design, Design, Construction, Acceptance, Post Occupancy and Warranty phases. We work closely with the General Contractor, Designer of Record and all relevant subcontractors in a collaborative, non-confrontational culture of partnership to make sure the design and construction meets the owner’s intent and requirements.
PEAC’s team has extensive experience in delivering LEED commissioning services for MEP systems, controls and equipment. Each of PEAC’s commissioning staff has successful careers as Commissioning Authorities for many buildings throughout the country.
Building Commissioning is the process of verifying that owner’s project requirements for design, construction, performance, maintenance, and equipment lifecycle are met. Building commissioning is a quality-focused process necessary for both non-complex and complex construction projects. The ultimate goal of the commissioning process is to deliver for the owner a project that has reduced first cost of delivery, substantial life cost reductions, fit for intended use and meets the needs of users and occupants.
